Shooting Claims Life of 36-Year-Old Man in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – Early Monday morning, police received several 911 calls reporting gunshots in the vicinity of Pennsylvania Avenue and Stanley Avenue in Brooklyn. NYPD officers quickly responded to the scene to find a 36-year-old man who had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the rear of 889 Sheffield Avenue.

Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the location and the victim was transported to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center for further medical attention.

Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.


As of the time of reporting, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased has yet to be officially released, pending proper family notification.

The NYPD is asking anyone who may have information regarding the incident to contact them.
