NEW YORK, NY – The sign on the adjacent building read ‘Easy Pickins’, but a failed heist of an ATM at the neighboring McDonald’s restaurants was anything but that.

Early Thursday morning, three suspects broke into McDonald’s located at 101 East 170 Street in the Bronx.

At around 2:00 am, two individuals forcibly entered the location through the basement door while another individual acted as a lookout.

“They broke into the ATM and cash register but could not remove any cash. The individuals then fled northbound on East 170 Street on foot,” the NYPD said today.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
