Karine Jean-Pierre: There’s no disconnect between Joe Biden and the American people

Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House Deputy Press Secretary, recently defended President Joe Biden against accusations that he has failed to unite Americans and has caused political rifts between Republicans and Democrats.

During a press briefing, Jean-Pierre was asked about the president’s ability to bring the country together, given the deep political divides that exist in the United States.

In response, Jean-Pierre pushed back against the idea that there is a disconnect between the president and the American people.

“There’s no disconnect, and there’s no calling out,” she said. “As you always say, there’s no disconnect. It is very clear the president can do multiple things at the same time.”

She also pointed to Biden’s willingness to work with both Republicans and Democrats, saying that the president is committed to finding common ground and getting things done.

Despite Jean-Pierre’s assurances, however, many Americans remain deeply divided along political lines. Republicans and Democrats continue to clash over issues like immigration, healthcare, and gun control, among others.
