Fighter jets to conduct night training in South Jersey

Atlantic City, NJ – The 177th Fighter Wing has announced that it will be conducting night-flying training over several days in May to maintain mission capability and combat-readiness. The training flights will begin tonight, May 9, and will continue on May 10-12, May 16-19, and May 24, 2023.

The training flights will be concluded by around 10:30-11:00 p.m. each evening, with the aim of minimizing any disruption to residents in the surrounding area.

The 177th Fighter Wing has assured the public that the training exercises are routine and necessary for the unit’s readiness and preparedness. However, residents in the vicinity of the training area may experience increased noise levels during the training periods.
