NEW YORK, NY – Detectives with the NYPD’s 108th Precinct are asking the public to assist in identifying a man wanted for rape two weeks ago in Lefrak City, Queens.

A woman was sexually assaulted in Queens on Sunday, April 30, after getting onto a motorized scooter with an unknown individual who struck up a conversation with her.

According to the police, the 49-year-old victim was walking home when the suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall male weighing around 200 pounds, offered her a ride on the scooter.

He drove her to a secluded area where he punched her in the face and raped her. The attacker fled the scene on the scooter, leaving the victim lying unconscious on the ground.

She was taken to NYC Health and Hospital/ Elmhurst in serious but stable condition.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
