Man shot early Friday morning in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – A shooting incident was reported in the early hours of Friday, when a male victim arrived at University Hospital with gunshot wounds. The victim informed medical staff that he had been shot in the vicinity of Clinton Avenue near 11th Street before making his way to the medical center for treatment.

The Newark Police Department, upon receiving the information from hospital officials, has launched an investigation into the shooting incident. The detectives are currently gathering evidence and working to identify any potential witnesses to the crime.
