23-Year-Old Shot And Killed In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – 23-year-old Romello Hammond, of Southeast, D.C., was shot and killed in Southeast, D.C. Friday night. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the homicide.

Just after 10:30 pm, officers arrived at the 900 block of Varney Street to investigate a report of gunshots. Police found the shooting victim. EMS and DC Fire responded and pronounced Hammond dead at the scene.
