Two Arrests Made, Handgun and Drugs Seized

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On Monday, the Atlantic City Police Department made two arrests and seized a handgun and drugs during a vehicle stop.

Detectives and officers targeted the area of Bellevue and Florida Avenues following resident complaints about illegal narcotics sales. Officers observed a vehicle on the first block of south Bellevue Avenue around 1:20 PM, and a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Ronaldo Paul, was seen involved in a narcotics transaction.

Paul was arrested following a vehicle stop and was found in possession of marijuana packaged for distribution. The driver, Steven Jaquez-Perez, was also arrested after a vehicle search revealed a loaded handgun and additional marijuana packaged for sale. More than 164 grams of marijuana were recovered in total.


The arrested individuals are Steven Jaquez-Perez, 25, and Ronaldo Paul, 24, both of Atlantic City. Charges include possession and intent to distribute CDS, possession within 1,000 feet of a school zone, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense.
