One dead in Fatal Pulaski Highway Crash

Essex, Maryland – The Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team is currently conducting an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred on Wednesday at approximately 5:30 a.m. The incident took place on Pulaski Highway, west of Middle River Road.

According to preliminary findings, investigators have determined that the operator of a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage was in the process of executing a U-turn from the westbound lane of travel when it collided with a 2011 Toyota Rav4 traveling eastbound. The circumstances leading up to the crash are still under investigation.

Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and transported the driver of the Mitsubishi, identified as 33-year-old Kenneth Chester Jr., to a nearby hospital. Mr. Chester was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Toyota sustained injuries and was also taken to a local hospital, where the injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.
