ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department has detained a Galloway man identified as Daniel Williams, implicated in a domestic disturbance and subsequently found in possession of illegal firearms and drugs.

On Monday, at 3:22 pm, patrol officers arrived at a house on the 2000 block of Grant Avenue following a report of criminal mischief. Officer Latray Butcher uncovered that Williams had broken a window at the house following an argument and, in a separate incident, had brandished a handgun at the victim.

Williams was later apprehended on West Pleasant Avenue by Officer Kamau Bazemore of the Pleasantville Police Department and other assisting officers. He was found to be in possession of a single bag of heroin and had multiple outstanding arrest warrants. Williams’ vehicle was towed back to Atlantic City for a subsequent search.

The following day, a search warrant was executed on Williams’ vehicle by Officer Butcher. The search was assisted by K9 Officer Melvin Murray III and his K9 partner, Jynx, who indicated a positive detection for narcotics. Officers uncovered a loaded handgun with hollow-point ammunition, 486 bags of heroin, over three grams of cocaine, and tools related to narcotics distribution in the vehicle.

Williams now faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault. He has been remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
