Two Teens Injured in North Philadelphia SEPTA Bus Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Two 18-year-old men were injured in a shooting that took place on a SEPTA bus in North Philadelphia this Wednesday, just before noon. The incident occurred around 21st and Diamond, where three individuals boarded the bus in Center City. Upon arrival, five additional males entered the bus, leading to an altercation at the rear of the vehicle.

Following the altercation, SEPTA Police Captain Kitt Walls reported that a gunshot was heard. One teenager sustained a gunshot wound to the groin, while a passenger’s leg was grazed by a bullet. Both victims are now in stable condition.

SEPTA Police are currently investigating how the five individuals knew to target this particular bus. Those with relevant information regarding the shooting are encouraged to contact either the Philadelphia Police or the SEPTA Police.
