Plainfield Man Sentenced for 2021 Fatal Shooting

UNION COUNTY, NJ – On Friday, a Union County Superior Court judge sentenced 28-year-old Quahif Lane of Plainfield to 25 years in state prison for aggravated manslaughter.

Lane was found guilty for the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Amazon delivery driver, Jamar Harris of Newark, which occurred on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. The Plainfield Police Department had responded to a call on the 200 block of Garfield Ave., where they found Harris with a fatal gunshot wound. Lane must serve at least 85% of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
