NEW YORK, NY – Police in the Bronx have arrested and charged a couple for the death of their 3-month-old baby girl and for discarding the baby’s corpse along the Major Deegan Expressway near West 161st Street, just blocks from Yankee Stadium.

Detectives made progress in their investigation as two individuals were arrested and charged in connection with the case.

The first suspect, Ivana Paolozzi, 20, and Damion Comager, 23, both of University Avenue in the Bronx, were charged with concealing a human corpse and obstructing governmental administration.

Comager was also charged with manslaughter. Police were able to apprehend Comager after he was turned in by his own father who said he, “Had to do the right thing.”

Donald Comager, the baby’s grandfather said he was still trying to process the entire ordeal. The elder Comager said his son confessed to him that he shook the baby to get her to stop crying then went to sleep. When he awoke, she was dead.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. They urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
