Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash in Jersey City Under Investigation

JERSEY CITY, NJ – A fatal multi-vehicle crash is under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department. The crash happened on Garfield Avenue on Sunday.

Shortly before noon, officers were alerted to a multi-vehicle collision around Garfield Avenue and Wegman Parkway. Multiple damaged vehicles were discovered at the scene, alongside the lifeless body of 36-year-old Jersey City resident, Desiree Milow. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:26 pm.

Preliminary findings suggest Milow’s Chevy Tahoe collided with various vehicles along Garfield Avenue before coming to a halt. In total, six vehicles were damaged and five other individuals were transported to the Jersey City Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
