Seven Injured in Chester Shooting Outside Subaru Park

CHESTER, PA – In a celebratory gathering outside Subaru Park, seven individuals were injured in a shooting incident late Sunday night. The Chester Police Department disclosed that a crowd of over 100 Chester High School students had assembled in parking lot A near Delaware Avenue and Norris Street to celebrate the imminent end of the school year and Memorial Day weekend when the violence erupted.

Investigators discovered more than 54 shell casings along with littered liquor bottles and medical gloves at the scene. The shooting took place at about 11:20 pm, and it is unclear what triggered the gunfire. The condition of the victims varies with one individual reported to be in critical condition at a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing and both the city of Chester and its police department have yet to comment further on the incident.
