Man shot Sunday morning in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, VA – A shooting incident in the early hours of Sunday is under investigation by the Portsmouth Police Department. Officers were called to the 5100 block of George Washington Highway at 3:21 am, where they found an adult male victim who had been shot.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment, but the extent of his injuries remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing.

The Portsmouth Police Department is asking anyone with information about this case to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
