NYPD investigating series of commercial robberies in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is searching for suspects involved in a series of robberies taking place across multiple precincts. The first incident occurred on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, around 11:50 pm at the Kanam Convenience Store at 1115 Jerome Avenue. A male individual displayed a firearm but fled without taking any items or causing injuries.

The second incident happened on Friday, May 19, 2023, around 9:59 pm at the POP Convenient and Smoke Shop located at 707 Nereid Avenue. Three male individuals robbed approximately $300 from the cash register, store products, a credit card, and two cellphones from a 31-year-old male employee before fleeing in a white Chevy vehicle.

The third incident took place the same day, at around 11:45 pm. Three male individuals approached an 18-year-old male victim walking near 1710 Montgomery Avenue (47 Precinct), demanding his property. The suspects took the victim’s gold rope chain, backpack, and wallet, totaling approximately $4,388 in value, before fleeing in a white sedan. All suspects are described as males in their mid-20’s with dark complexions.
