Rockville, MD – Trooper Josh Quase, serving at the Rockville Barrack, has recently opened his heart and home to Lola, a 12-year-old golden retriever. Lola’s heart-wrenching journey began when her original owner decided to abandon her at a clinic, seeking to have her euthanized simply because they no longer wanted the dog.
In a heartwarming turn of events, Trooper Quase learned about Lola’s plight and stepped forward to give her a second chance at a loving home. After connecting with the Bedford County Humane Society, Trooper Quase officially adopted Lola, transforming both of their lives in the process.

Taking to social media, Trooper Quase expressed his gratitude for the Bedford County Humane Society and emphasized the impact Lola has had on his family.
“Lola is my world,” Trooper Quase wrote in a heartfelt Facebook post. “She has helped my whole family. She comes everywhere with me. My mother has stage 4 cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Lola provides her with comfort during this challenging time.”

The heartwarming bond that has formed between Lola and Trooper Quase’s family showcases the profound impact that pets can have on our lives. Lola’s presence has brought solace and joy, particularly during moments of adversity, highlighting the incredible healing power that animals possess.
