Police seeking Midtown purse snatcher

New York City, NY – Police are investigating a purse snatching incident that took place Saturday night in Midtown Manhattan.

At approximately 7:28 p.m., a 59-year-old female was approached by an unknown individual. The suspect forcefully grabbed the victim’s purse and pulled her to the ground. Subsequently, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on 55th Street, with the victim’s purse containing $200. The victim sustained minor injuries but was in stable condition when EMS transported her to Mount Sinai West Hospital.

Authorities have provided a description of the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 17 to 23 years old, standing around 5’9″ tall with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray jacket, dark-colored pants, and black sneakers.
