BALTIMORE, MD- In a remarkable turn of events, an Eastern Shore woman has defied the odds by winning a $50,000 prize not once but twice. The Talbot County resident, who had previously secured a $50,000 win in April 2022 with a Power 5s scratch-off, replicated her success this week while playing the popular 50 Years! Scratch-off. This particular game was introduced in February as part of the Maryland Lottery’s 50th-anniversary celebration.

The fortunate 65-year-old, who was on a shopping excursion for graduation gifts, found herself at Carroll Motor Fuels, located at 8276 Elliott Road in Easton. Seizing the opportunity, she decided to stop and purchase gas. While inside the store, she also indulged in her passion for Lottery games. Intrigued by the newly launched 50 Years! Scratch-off, she acquired a single ticket and retreated to her car to scratch it.

The ecstatic winner revealed her plans to share the joyous news with her children and grandchildren during a special celebratory dinner. With her newfound winnings, she intends to settle outstanding bills, further easing her financial burdens.

The 50 Years! Instant ticket made its debut in February, featuring a total of six $50,000 prizes. Of these, three prizes still remain unclaimed. Furthermore, the game boasts two remaining top prizes worth a staggering $5 million, along with seven $100,000 prizes and 58 $10,000 prizes.
