Man Shot And Killed Inside Southeast D.C. Residence

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was shot and killed Friday night in Southeast D.C. Detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department are investigating the shooting.

Just after 8:30 pm, police arrived at the 2900 Block of Nelson Place to investigate a report of a shooting. At the location, police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time, although police described the victim as an adult male.
