Goshen Man Pleads Guilty in Child Rape Case

ORANGE COUNTY, NY – On Monday, Jesus Torres, a 32-year-old Goshen resident, pleaded guilty to Rape in the First Degree in Orange County Court.

The announcement came from Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Torres is expected to receive a sentence of 15 years in state prison and an additional 10 years of post-release supervision. His sentencing is scheduled for August 28, 2023.

As part of the sentencing, Torres will be required to register as a sex offender under the New York Sex Offender Registration Act.


Torres admitted in court that he, being over 18 years old, had engaged in sexual intercourse with a person under 13 years of age.
