Belleville Man Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Child During Home Invasion

PATERSON, NJ – Andres Vasquez, 25, from Belleville, entered a guilty plea on Tuesday, to multiple charges related to the sexual assault of a minor during a home invasion last year. The investigation, conducted by the Clifton Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, led to the arrest of Mr. Vasquez on June 3, 2022.

On May 31, 2022, Clifton Police responded to a home invasion report involving the sexual assault of a minor. The gathered evidence and testimonials implicated Vasquez in the crime.

Vasquez admitted under oath that he entered the victim’s home without permission, and strangled and sexually assaulted the minor.


Sentencing is scheduled for October 2, before Judge Justine A. Niccollai, J.S.C. Until then, Vasquez will remain in the Bergen County Jail. The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office requests anyone with additional information to contact their tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO.
