ALLEGANY COUNTY, MD – Matthew W. Milburn, a 32-year-old man from Romney, West Virginia, was arrested by Deputy State Fire Marshals on Thursday. Milburn is accused of impersonating a firefighter and interfering with emergency transmissions.
The incident occurred when Barton Hose Company No.1 and the George’s Creek Ambulance Service responded to a medical emergency call from the 17100 block of Pekin Street. Fire Chief Kevin Rounds heard a person, later identified as Milburn, attempting to cancel the emergency response via a cell phone app named Zello.
