NEW YORK, NY – A 63-year-old man, identified as Charles Cunningham, was found unconscious and later pronounced deceased after being assaulted by an unknown perpetrator at the intersection of East 105 Street and 5 Avenue in Manhattan on Thursday,

At approximately 11:30 PM, the police were called to the intersection of East 105 Street and 5 Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. The call reported an unconscious male in need of assistance. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the 23rd Precinct.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a 63-year-old man lying unconscious on the ground. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) promptly arrived at the location and transported the individual to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital. Tragically, on Friday, April 21, 2023, medical professionals pronounced the man deceased.

Following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, it was revealed that the male had been assaulted by an unidentified perpetrator who remains at large. This act of violence ultimately led to the victim’s demise. Authorities have classified the case as a homicide. At present, no arrests have been made, and the investigation continues.
