Deadly Night in Philadelphia Leaves One Dead and Eight Injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Late Sunday night and into Monday, multiple shootings in Philadelphia left one man dead and eight people injured.

The fatal incident occurred just before midnight on Sunday, at the 2600 block of S. 78th Street, when a 28-year-old man was shot in the chest. He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries around 12:30 a.m. on Monday.

Monday afternoon saw two more shootings, one on the 6300 block of Montour Street where a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were injured.


At around the same time, a 46-year-old man was shot in his arm and leg on the 3900 block of Brown Street. Earlier in the afternoon, a 30-year-old man was critically injured on the 4900 block of Boudinot Street.

Late Sunday night, three people were shot on the 2900 block of Frankford Avenue, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been reported in connection with any of these shootings.
