Atlantic City Bengali conference to generate millions in tourist revenue

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ -The KPC Bengali Hall of Fame and Sree Sree Gita Sangha jointly held a press conference on June 15 at Kennedy Plaza, officially announcing the Celebration of Freedom as a significant component of the 43rd Annual North American Bengali Conference, set to take place in Atlantic City this summer. This three-day event is expected to draw over 8,000 guests and will encompass a diverse range of cultural programs, Bengali arts and films, as well as seminars covering various fields such as business, literature, health, and science. The event will feature renowned artists and luminaries from Bengal and across the globe.

Recognized as the largest social and cultural Bengali conference in North America, the Celebration of Freedom is anticipated to generate substantial tourism revenue for Atlantic City, with estimates ranging between $6 million to $8 million.

The press conference witnessed the presence and participation of several esteemed individuals, including Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, NABC 23 Convener Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay, Joe Berg (Chief of Staff for NJ Senator Vince Polistana), Assemblyman Don Guardian, Assemblywoman Claire Swift, and Councilman Kaleem Shabazz. During the event, these dignitaries addressed the media and attendees, expressing their enthusiasm for the forthcoming conference and its anticipated impact on the city.


The Celebration of Freedom promises to be a remarkable gathering of Bengali culture, fostering exchange and collaboration while contributing to the growth of tourism in Atlantic City.

The event runs from June 30 to July 2.
