Syracuse Police Seize Guns Following Complaint of Suspicious Person

SYRACUSE, NY – On Friday, June 9, Syracuse Police responded to a suspicious person report near East Willow and Lodi Street around 11:50 am. Terrence Hines was found carrying a shotgun and ignoring police instructions to drop the weapon.

Hines held the Ithaca Deer Slayer Model 37 Featherlight 12-gauge shotgun in front of him as he approached Officer Ciciriello. Despite ignoring initial orders to drop the firearm, Hines eventually complied after being ordered seven times. He was then arrested.

Further investigations revealed a Gold .32 caliber Smith and Wesson US Service CTG revolver in Hines’s possession, also loaded. Hines now faces charges including Menacing, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He is currently held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
