Fatal Crash in Bridgeville Under Investigation by Delaware State Police

BRIDGEVILLE, DE – A fatal collision on Seashore Highway near Woodenhawk Road on Friday night, has left one man dead and two others injured.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident, which involved a Jeep Wrangler, a Chevrolet Silverado, and a Dodge Avenger.

The Jeep, driven by a 49-year-old woman from Easton, Maryland, crossed the double-yellow center lines into the oncoming lane, sideswiping the Silverado before colliding with the Avenger. The Jeep overturned, and the Avenger spun out. The 20-year-old driver of the Avenger, son of the couple in the Silverado, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
