Bronx shootout sends 17-year-old to hospital with gunshot to the back

New York City, NY – A 17-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital after being shot in the back during a shootout in the Bronx.

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 24, at approximately 7:46 p.m. in the vicinity of Tratman Avenue and Saint Peters Avenue.

Police said two groups of unidentified individuals engaged in a gunfire exchange, resulting in a 17-year-old male victim being shot in the back. The victim was subsequently transported to Montefiore Medical Center by private means. The individuals involved in the shooting fled the scene in unknown directions.
