Police seeking to identify burglar

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police’s 4th District Investigative Section is delving into a shed burglary that occurred on Tuesday, June 6, on Atherton Drive’s 12300 block. Photos of the suspect have been made public, and the detectives are asking the community’s aid in identifying him.

Officers were alerted about a burglary in progress at roughly 6:25 p.m. The investigation concluded that an unidentified male intruder entered the shed of the victim, stealing tools and stowing them in a black backpack.

When confronted by the adult male victim, the suspect dropped the stolen items after a struggle over the backpack. He left the scene without any stolen goods.

The suspect is depicted as a white male, outfitted in a white hat, black shirt, brown cargo pants, and white shoes.
