Troopers Who Saved boy from drunk driver show up for graduation

Schoharie, New York – In a heartwarming display of courage and resilience, Nate Parslow, a recent graduate of Schoharie Central School, celebrated his accomplishments alongside two New York State Troopers who played a crucial role in saving his life.

Trooper Yodis and Trooper Bird from the SP Cobleskill Barracks rushed to the scene of a devastating accident on March 5, 2023, where Nate was struck by an impaired driver, resulting in the partial loss of one of his arms.

Despite the initial tragedy, the quick response and actions of Trooper Yodis and Trooper Bird proved instrumental in preserving Nate’s life. Upon arriving at the scene, the troopers promptly applied multiple tourniquets to control the bleeding and stabilize Nate’s condition. Their swift and decisive actions ultimately contributed to his survival.
