22-year-old Man Arrested Following Pursuit in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE, DE – On Thursday morning, a Delaware State Trooper arrested De’Andre Barham, a 22-year-old man from Bridgeville, following a pursuit and foot chase. The incident began when the trooper spotted Barham riding a moped without a registration plate on Mill Park Drive.

Barham fled the scene, leading to a chase that ended when he ran into the woods and was apprehended by the trooper. Barham resisted arrest and was found to be carrying 16.51 grams of crack cocaine, 2.198 grams of suspected heroin, a prescription pill, and drug paraphernalia. He also had two active warrants for violation of probation.

Barham is now facing multiple charges, including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, disregarding a police officer’s signal, resisting arrest with force, and several traffic offenses. He is currently being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $24,500 secured bond.
