BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA – On Thursday, June 22, Austin D. Smallacombe, 36, and Amanda Smallacombe, 35, were charged with felony counts including theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, deceptive business practices, and others. The charges stem from the couple’s operation of A&A Custom Furniture, accused of defrauding 40 customers of nearly $118,000.

The Smallacombes, residents of Katie Lane, were remanded in custody to Bucks County Correctional Facility with respective bail amounts set at $900,000 and $500,000. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Monday, July 10 before Magisterial District Judge Gary Gambardella.

Investigations by Bucks County Detectives revealed that the Smallacombes failed to deliver custom furniture after receiving payments. Some customers received poor quality items with numerous defects.

The victims, from Bucks, Berks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties, collectively lost a total of $117,880.40. The victims reportedly ordered and paid for custom furniture through social media, but most did not receive the items they ordered. Police departments encourage victims or those with additional information to come forward.
