Dad drives off with toddler, drags mother on scooter in custody violation

The New York City Police Department is searching for a man who fled with his four-year-old child in violation of a custody order in the Bronx on Sunday.

Police reported that at approximately 9:18 PM, a 22-year-old male met with a 22-year-old female victim and their 4-year-old child near East 182nd Street and Jerome Avenue.

During the meeting, the male, identified as Makiel Yoan Turbi, placed the child on his motorized scooter without the mother’s consent. He then fled the scene with the child at a high speed, heading to an unknown location.


As the male fled, the mother attempted to hold onto the scooter but was dragged a short distance into the intersection. Fortunately, she did not sustain any injuries.

Makiel Yoan Turbi, the 22-year-old male involved, is the individual being sought by the authorities. The missing child is identified as Yoangel Sepulveda, a 4-year-old male.
