Man shot in face, killed in Inwood

NEW YORK, NY – Police in Manhattan are investigating a shooting that left a 30-year-old man dead in Inwood early Wednesday morning.

The incident took place at 72 Vermilyea Avenue and is being investigated by detectives from the city’s 34 Precinct.

At approximately 1:45 am, police responded to a report of a male who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 30-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his face.

Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene, and the victim was swiftly transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem.

Despite the efforts of EMS and medical professionals, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
