Shark causes panic at Florida beach

NAVARRE BEACH, FL – Swimmers enjoying the extended Independence Day weekend in Florida were startled when a large shark was spotted swimming in shallow water nearby.

On Monday, July 3, the sighting occurred at Navarre Beach, located in the Florida Panhandle, not far from Pensacola Beach. Navarre Beach is approximately a 6 ½-hour drive from Orlando.

A video capturing the incident was shared on Cristy Mccallie Cox’s Facebook page. The footage shows several individuals in the water as the dorsal fin of the shark ominously emerges and disappears.

In the video, a person can be heard shouting, “Get out of the water!” while others join in, urging everyone to move away from the shark. The urgency is palpable as another voice exclaims, “Good god, people.”

“Quick, quick,” someone else urges, emphasizing the need to vacate the water promptly.
