Schenectady County Raises Alarm After Six Suspected Overdoses

SCHENECTADY COUNTY, NY – The Schenectady County Public Health has reported a surge in suspected fatal overdoses, with six instances since the previous Saturday. The department is actively working with the Schenectady County Office of Community Services, Catholic Charities, New Choices Recovery Center, and other regional services to offer assistance during this time.

Multiple substance use disorder treatment and harm reduction services are available, including Catholic Charities/Project Safe Point, Alliance for Positive Health, New Choices, Conifer Park, SPARC Inpatient Rehab, SPARC Rotterdam clinic, Ellis Emergency Department, and The RSS/Ellis Living Room.
