Sicklerville, NJ – According to National Review, New Jersey author and activist Rann Miller, known for his left-wing activism and social justice work, has been accused of plagiarizing significant portions of his book “Resistance Stories from Black History for Kids.”

The book, which aimed to highlight African American history through peaceful forms of protest and resistance, is reportedly under investigation by its publisher, Ulysses Press, after it was discovered that Miller plagiarized from various sources, including magazine articles, books, and academic journals.

One section of the book, titled “The Hidden African Civilizations,” allegedly contains plagiarized content from a 1976 article by prominent black historian John Henrik Clarke in Ebony magazine. Miller’s book closely mirrors Clarke’s words, with slight changes in phrases and wording.

National Review further reports that there are instances where entire pages in Miller’s book were plagiarized, including one page taken from an article on BlackPast.org.

Keith Riegert, the publisher of Ulysses Press, stated that the book would be removed from the company’s website and that a review of the work is underway. He emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. As of the time of the report, the book was still available on other platforms such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, despite its removal from the Ulysses Press webpage.
