Silver Spring Man Charged in Connection to February Shooting

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section have recently arrested and charged Olutoye Ayorinde, 43, of Silver Spring, in connection to a shooting that occurred in the 2900 block of Marlow Farm Terrace.

On Saturday, February 25, at approximately 1:03 a.m., the Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center received multiple calls reporting shots fired in the area of Fairland Road. Responding officers located the scene and also attended to a patient at a local hospital suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Detectives identified Ayorinde as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant charging him with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and firearm related charges. On June 20, Ayorinde was arrested and a stolen firearm was located during a search of his residence.
