Three Gang Members Sentenced to Prison for Gang-Related Murders

NEWARK, N.J. – Three members of a drug trafficking enterprise who were also members of a neighborhood street gang in Essex County, New Jersey, have been recently sentenced to prison terms for their respective roles in multiple gang-related murders, including the murder of a federal informant, according to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.

Thomas Zimmerman, 28, received a 37-year sentence, while Tyquan Daniels, 27, received 35 years and Ali Hill, 30, was given 25 years. Each of the defendants was sentenced to an additional five years of supervised release. All three defendants, residents of East Orange, were sentenced by U.S. District Judge John Michael Vazquez in Newark federal court.
