Boston Police Arrest Two After Traffic Stop Connected to Earlier Shooting

BOSTON, MA – On Saturday, around 11:00 PM, Boston Police Department’s District B-3 in Mattapan conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Harvard Street and Wales Street. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 5, at Edgewater Drive and Rivers Street, where five people were injured, and several firearms were recovered.

During the stop, police identified Traequon Duncan, 26, from Boston, as a passenger. Duncan had active arrest warrants from Suffolk Superior Court and Dorchester District Court for Assault to Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He was arrested and awaits arraignment in Dorchester District Court.

In the course of the arrest, a loaded firearm was recovered from another passenger, Damarius Bultmer, 23, also from Boston. Bultmer was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. The weapon, a loaded Ruger Mayodan .380 with six rounds in the magazine, will be part of the evidence during Bultmer’s forthcoming arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
