Bear, DE – A Delaware resident who prefers to play lottery games outside of his home state struck his biggest win yet, scoring $50,000 on the Maryland Lottery’s Ca$h Multiplier scratch-off.

The lucky player, residing in Bear, Delaware, shared his preference for playing lottery games in Maryland and Pennsylvania, citing consistently larger prizes compared to those offered on Delaware tickets. On July 10, he claimed his $50,000 prize at the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

Having played for several years, the 60-year-old resident of New Castle County has previously won a few $5,000 prizes, multiple $1,000 prizes, and several $500 prizes. However, the $50,000 win surpassed all of his previous successes, making it a significant achievement.

With his top-prize winnings, the fortunate winner plans to purchase a new car, although he hasn’t decided on the make or model yet. When asked if he intends to continue playing, he confidently stated, “I’m sure I will!”

The winning scratch-off ticket, priced at $5, was purchased at Food Lion #1558 located at 1001 East Pulaski Highway in Elkton, Cecil County. As a result of selling the top-prize winning scratch-off, the store will receive a bonus of $500 from the Maryland Lottery, equal to 1% of the prize.
