Dominos and Uber Eats delivery is good news for local franchises

TRENTON, NJ – Dominos franchisees in New York and New Jersey can soon deliver pizza to their customers using Uber Eats as an exclusive delivery platform for its restaurants.

Domino’s Pizza saw a 10% surge in shares on Wednesday after announcing a new partnership with Uber Eats and Postmates for customer orders.

The pizza chain will be using Uber Eats as its exclusive third-party platform in the US until at least 2024, as part of a “global agreement” with the ride-share company.

The partnership will begin in four pilot markets in the US this fall, with plans to roll out Uber’s delivery apps across the country by the end of 2023. Domino’s will handle deliveries, with its franchisees. The pizza maker hopes the partnership will expand its brand’s reach to new customers.
