Lucky Baltimore woman gets second big lottery win

BALTIMORE, MD – Lady Luck seems to have a special place for this Baltimore City resident, who recently celebrated her second $50,000 lottery win on an Ultimate Cash scratch-off. This stroke of fortune comes five years after she initially won a $50,000 prize playing Bonus Match 5 in December 2018.

With a sense of humor, the 52-year-old woman jokingly referred to herself as the “Scratch-off Queen,” attributing her winning streak to a lucky horseshoe. Being an avid fan of instant tickets, she purchased the winning scratch-off at Royal Farms #001 located at 2620 Mountain Road in Joppa. Upon scanning the $10 game using the Lottery app on her phone, she received a message instructing her to visit a Lottery retailer. While she was elated by the news of a substantial prize, confusion shrouded the exact amount. Thankfully, a visit to a Lottery retailer quickly clarified the matter, revealing that she had won the game’s second-tier prize.

Surrounded by family members and friends who had been skeptical of her first win in 2018, the lucky winner now finds herself in a similar position. However, she simply attributes it to her unique luck, stating, “It is just my luck.”

As for how she intends to spend her $50,000 prize, the winner revealed that she has no outstanding bills, so the entire sum will go straight into savings. Additionally, she plans to share some of the funds with her adult children.

The “Scratch-off Queen” marks the second $50,000 prize winner since the launch of the $10 Ultimate Cash game on June 19, 2023. Although all eight top prizes of $100,000 remain unclaimed, there are still numerous prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000 awaiting lucky winners.
