HARRISON TOWNSHIP, PA – On Sunday, at 4:47 a.m., the Harrison Township Police Department received multiple calls reporting gunfire at an apartment complex on the 2000 block of Broadview Avenue. First responders found that multiple units within the building had sustained ballistic damage. A 73-year-old resident sustained minor injuries due to debris from the gunfire and was treated at the scene by EMS.
The Allegheny County Police General Investigations Unit, requested by the Harrison Township Police, determined that at least seven bullets had hit the apartment building’s façade, likely from a pistol and a rifle. The shots seem to have originated from an area across the street. The incident is believed to be random, with no apparent target or motive.
Detectives are now calling on the public to assist in identifying potential suspects involved in the shooting.
