Adult student charged for crimes against juvenile at Hudson County high school

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – On Tuesday, an 18-year-old female was arrested by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit on charges of sex crimes involving a 13-year-old male. The alleged crimes took place at Weehawken High School, where both the defendant and the victim are students. The identities are withheld for the protection of the victim.

The Weehawken resident has been charged with Sexual Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Sexual Contact. She was arrested at her home and is currently held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending her first court appearance.

The crimes occurred on various dates at Weehawken High School, where both the defendant and victim are students and are not related, the HCPO said in a statement.
