More Heat, Rain and Canadian Wildfire Smoke on Tap Tuesday for the Jersey Shore

ASBURY PARK, NJ – The weather conditions along the Jersey Shore for Tuesday are expected to be partly sunny with a high temperature of around 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, mainly after 2 PM. The south wind will be blowing at a speed of 5 to 10 mph. The likelihood of precipitation is 30%, and new rainfall amounts are anticipated to range between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. However, it’s important to note that thunderstorms may result in higher amounts of rainfall.

As the day progresses into Tuesday night, there will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms until 2 AM. After midnight, patchy fog may develop.


The sky will be partly cloudy, and the temperature will drop to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The south wind will transition to a westward direction at approximately 5 mph. The chance of precipitation decreases to 20%.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, there remains a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, beginning after 2 PM. The day will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 89 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind will shift from northwest at 5 to 10 mph in the morning to southeast in the afternoon. The probability of precipitation is 30%, and any new rainfall amounts are expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, though thunderstorms may cause higher amounts.
