Spring Valley Resident Faces Charges After Police Find Images of Children

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – David Barrera Crespo, a 25-year-old resident of Spring Valley, New York, was arrested and charged on Friday, with promoting and possessing child [censored]ography.

The charges were announced by Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II.

Crespo is alleged to have been in possession of a video showing an adult male involved in a sexual act with a minor female under the age of ten. The charges include promoting a sexual performance by a child, a D felony, and possessing a sexual performance by a child, an E felony.

Crespo was arraigned before Judge Djinsad Desir in the Town of Ramapo Justice Court. Crespo posted bail, set at $5,000 cash, $15,000 bond, or $30,000 bond partially secured with 10% down, and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 26.

The case is being overseen by Supervising Assistant District Attorney Gerard M. Damiani III.
