SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ – Locals and vacationers at the Jersey Shore are in for more rain Thursday and Friday with periods of sun and milder temperatures than in recent days.

Thursday is anticipated to be a pleasant day for beachgoers as mostly sunny skies dominate the early part of the day. With a high temperature near 80 degrees, it will be an ideal day to soak up the sun.

However, beach enthusiasts are urged to note the shift in winds, starting from the northeast at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and transitioning to an easterly direction later in the afternoon.

As the night falls, a shift in weather patterns is expected. A chance of showers and thunderstorms is predicted after 2 am, accompanied by patchy fog. The night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 72 degrees. A gentle south wind of approximately 5 mph is forecasted.

Residents are advised to stay alert for potential thunderstorms during the late hours. There is a 40% chance of precipitation, and new rainfall amounts are expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, with the possibility of higher amounts in areas impacted by thunderstorms.

Friday presents a more complex weather scenario. In the morning, the region may experience showers and thunderstorms until 8 am. As the day progresses, showers are likely, with a potential for thunderstorms between 8 am and 2 pm. Later in the afternoon, the chance of showers and thunderstorms remains, and the sky will be partly sunny.

The temperature will reach a high of approximately 79 degrees. The south wind will be stronger, ranging from 5 to 15 mph.

The likelihood of precipitation on Friday is 60%, with new rainfall amounts expected to vary between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. In areas experiencing thunderstorms, higher amounts of rainfall are possible.
